Kalimera Mykonos

Kalimera from Mykonos 🙂 Mykonos has been for a long time on my bucket list, but not “only” Mykonos, but especially the outstanding San Giorgio hotel. San Giorgio is a very special place. It is a design hotel through and through but has a very special laid-back vibe. From the first moment you will feel just relaxed. And another great benefit of this beautiful place is that the owners of the hotel are also the owners of one of the hottest beach clubs in Mykonos – Scorpios beach club. Which is in my opinion definitely a plus 😉 (but more about this later) 

The whole hotel is in a bohemian style, which I totally loved. From the reception to the rooms, everything is stylish and unique. What makes this place so special is that it feels more like a friend’s house with boho vibe and an amazing sea view than a hotel.

I stayed at the Mare room which was really nice. 

The best thing about this room was the sea view and my own terrace where I also met some new friends 😉

Another amazing benefit of this gorgeous hotel is their delicious breakfast. It is so delicious, so healthy and soooo yummy.You have a various choice of fresh prepared hot dishes like omelette, eggs benedict etc. and a lot of more options – all fresh and handmade. You can see and taste that everything is made with love.

Principally is the food at the San Giorgio hotel outstanding good. Everything is fresh prepared and tasty. They also have a own smoothie bar with a lot of healthy juices which fill your energy tank for a night out. 

As mentioned above one of the coolest spots in Mykonos belongs to the San Giorgio owners – the Scorpios Club. Of course it is amazing because the name is Scorpios – and my sign is Scorpio;-) Scorpios is a bohemian styled beach club which turns during the night into one of the coolest nightclubs. Just imagine a mix between Tulum and the Burning Man festival – this is exactly the style and vibe of Scorpios. The music is cool, the interior is super stylish and the crowd is very sexy and laid-back. Just a perfect spot to spend the whole day (and the whole night) in Mykonos. 

By the way is the food at Scorpios soooo good. Sometimes you spend a lot of money for a beach club in Mykonos which is not really worthy, especially regarding the food. In this case you can be sure that it is worth your money. Their food and drinks are one of the best in Mykonos. When you are in Mykonos, put Scorpios on your list.

All in one is San Giorgio in my opinion one of the best hotel options in Mykonos. It is unique, luxury and stylish. It is perfectly located between Paraga and Paradise Beach and is only 10min away from the airport and Mykonos Town. And the best thing about this place is that is has its own beach club 😉 I also have to say that the San Giorgio staff is so attentive and lovely. You will just love this place.

PS: To explore Mykonos you have to keep in mind that there are only a few taxis (exactly 30 for the whole island !!). So if you want to explore Mykonos you have a few options: 1. rent a car or even better a quad which is perfect for this rocky island. 2. drive around the island with the bus. But you have to keep in mind that the busses are not driving everywhere and that they are often not on time. Or the last option – get a donkey 😉
